On all of my 1st and 2nd row, but of course mostly the driver's seat, there are some pretty nasty tears and major (but not completely through) cracking. I found Leather Magic which provides a kit that includes patches and color matched mixes, and a pretty solid how-to. Has anyone gone the patching route before, and if so, any suggestions? Anyone used this product?

At this point my goal is more so to protect the foam and close the tears. But if I can remove or really hide the cracks well (which some pictures regarding this product have shown), I'd be all over that.

You may have better luck in the 2003 section as this is the 2015 section and we have not experienced any leather cracking as of yet. Good luck.

Oh shoot, didn't notice that I managed to leap to the other side. That's what I get for wondering why there are so many posts here regarding NNBSs and NBSs.

Could a moderator please move this post to its rightful home in the NBS section?

Y'all 15s enjoy your leather!

If it's tearing just on the bottom, you can buy replacements off eBay and there's videos on youtube on how to replace it. Replacement is $175. brand new leather under your tail.

Not a bad idea, didn't notice you could do just the bottom. I'll look into that. Still a bit pricey, but new is new. I do have a tear on the armrest on one of the 2nd row seats that would still need repair.

Edit:
Driver's seat - probably needs full replacement.

There are also armrest covers. They just zip on. I know my dad put one on my moms without taking it off. So hopefully it's an easy process.

I purchased a $29 kit from Leather Renew http://www.leatherrenew.com and got very good results on a similar repair to my 03 driver's seat. I don't think anyone would find the repair unless they were told to look for it. Before and after photos:

i repair leather for a living. Those kits are ok but dont be surprised if it fails in a month or so. There is no bullet proof way of fixing leahter on car seats. The constant rubbing back and forth from getting in and out is what does it. IMO its better to replace for a long term solution. You can either buy a whole new seat bottom or pay an auto upholster to replace just the damaged panel.
