Replace air ride Shocks/ Struts 07 Escalade

• Ive checked and have several opinions on deleting the air ride on my 2007 Escalade and replace with non air ride shocks/struts . Any advice or recommendations on what’s the best replacement shocks /struts to use?/

Not convinced I want to do it yet. Thoughts

I'm looking to also do an autoride delete and move to passive shocks. Thinking I am going to go with the Arnott C-3184 conversion kit. Can find them for under $750 on the web and they seem to use nice quality parts and come with a controller that plugs into your harness and turns off the fault codes. Would like to hear from some people on this forum who have installed it and put some miles on it to hear what they think. Seems to be the best/most popular full conversion kit available for these trucks.

Will the stock non autoride struts swap right in as long as there 4x4 struts. Dont care about the dash warning light.

If it’s part of the kit yes. You can always cross reference the GM part number also @NORCAL SS Tony has been there done that in about every situation. PM him if he doesn’t reply here.

Call Arnott in FL and get priced on replacement bags or look online. All their bags have lifetime guarantee.

I understand if you’ve experienced or seen the heartache of failures related to oem bags, compressors and their costs. Our C5 A6 allroad and the Denali are bagged and Arnott is the only reason we keep them that way. 100% functionally until failure then 100% warranty replacement. Our other two fun rides run Koni yellows and they’re great until one starts to fail. It’s subtle and starts the process of wearing harder on the other struts and bushings.

I prefer to have the bags soak it up @ 100% til failure as well as the auto level feature for kids, cargo or towing. Since 07 the Arnott warranty has paid for three bags on the allroad w/ free shipping, both ways. Figure zero cost on our allroad suspension since 07. Piece of mind and pocket book.

Wow, almost every post after this is “my 07/08 bags/autoride is toast” There’s going to be quite a demand for aftermarket active, passive and strut replacement packages based on the longevity of the non AFM 6.2L platforms.

I’m not sure about the non auto ride. Typically there’s a few options on fronts on these trucks and super picky on what’s installed/not installed

130k on my air shocks and still going. You’d normally replace any shock at those miles.
