Several of us have gone the passive route only to later go back to original style shocks due to poor ride. Others saw no difference in ride quality.

Your rig was designed as a whole to perform and keep you and your passengers safe.

If you decide to change them all you need is passive shocks that come with resistors that fool the computer. If cost is the reason for the switch look at Arnott refurbished with lifetime warranty.

I don’t know if 2017 and 07-14 are the same. If so I have a passive set with resistors I’ll let go cheap. They have about 3000 miles on them before I switched back.

Get a set of passive Arnotts with the resistors built in or get xingeering plug in resistors if you want to go that route.
You are safe either way. K2s were built with regular and magnaride shocks.
My advice do some research on this forum for what people have gone with and what works.

Any chance you have a link for the Arnott Refurb w/ warranty? I am one of those that switched the belltechs and the rear ride is worse than my worn out stock air ride.

I think this is it. I got them from Amazon. I’m not sure if Amazon changed their format. This link I copied looks different than what I usually see.

good thread...I want/need to replace the rears on my '16 Tahoe LT and was going to get some Bilstein monotubes only to find out I have some sort of "Premium Suspension Package" that apparently is electronically controlled. Bilstein has a model for adjustable suspensions, and I don't intend to do a lift, so I wonder if those would work as a replacement. Any thoughts? Thanks

Same thoughts as the OP. Look at your RPO codes in your glove box for either Z95 or Z55. Lots of opinions from different experiences. As you can see I made the mistake of going with passive shocks only to later go back to stock. I used Arnott rebuilt shocks with lifetime warranty for cost sake.

Thanks...I looked up the RPO codes on vin decoder and I've got Z85, so I imagine I'll just go with the OEM style. The rebuilt Arnoot sound interesting; where can I find those?
