Hey guys,
I took my truck into a wheel/tire place to replace the Tires. They recommended I replace the shocks also, since there was a leak, they took me in the back and showed me the leak to verify.

I said fine, replace em.

They replaced them with the crappiest pair ive ever rode on, I mean, bottom out constantly, on any type of pavement changes.

worse with people in the back.

he asked me to get a set from the dealer, and he will replace/reimburse for free.

I want to take this time to get some performance shocks.

This is my truck from before changing shocks tashanda.jpg

I was thinking of replacing with these before going back to OEM:

What do you think? it was only the shocks, because he only charged me $60/shock

PS. these were rear shocks only

Well let me ask you what kind of ride you'd like.

Are you looking for a softer ride or a stiffer ride

First, did they put the right shocks on it?
It doesn't look like it has been lowered any. you could try some MonoMax but they might be a bit soft. KYB's a bit firmer but won't last very long. Ranchos are good but are a bit firmer yet unless you the get the adjustable one's. I have never had a set of bilsteins so I can't help with them.

I like the bilstein shocks and I don't like belltech shocks. The belltech ones are barely shocks at all the spring just keeps bouncing and bouncing

sidenote all my 3/5 kits have the belltech shocks on them and people like them. IF you want a stiff shock get a hd but what some people considered a stiff ride might be to much to others. Torsion bar trucks are a little different than 07 up coilsprings

Can't recommend either personally for a 3/5 because I've never been that low and I don't know how the springs and torsion bars ride.

Ernie pm me ill shoot you a site you can get the bilsteins from and then return them within 90 days no questions asked. I had to do this recently for a guy that went to the hds and was to stiff for him so he returned them and went with a set up I got for him.
