Replaced steering idler arm, now steering wheel noise

Some years back there was a TSB on the Silverados about a plastic sleeve in the steering column in the dash that was making various noises, pretty common seems like. Might search around for this deal. What year is your machine?

I am thinking the Column Bearing. Have you checked it?

Look under the dash, and find the steering-shaft. Now grab a hold of it and push back and forth "Up/down". If there is any movement then that could be where the noise is coming from.

All I hear is outside noise. How about some video and audio showing what's moving when the noise happens?

Didn't see much but a black cat at night with its eyes closed.

Listen close, it’s like a squeaky small spring noise stretching.

I think it might be from that. The bearing I suspected was bad because of knocking sound. I did check and you can grab the shaft and push up and down and there’s play/knock to it. Attached is a video under it and I think that stretching straining spring like sound is coming from that bearing. I’m unsure how replacing the steering idler arm lead to this sound.
