I found a 03 v8 6l motor that I am told had 3000 orig miles that he bought for a project from a wreck van. He is very mechanical for Hh had several projects going in his pole barn. He tells me it turns over and he has turned it over so the valve springs are okay. He is asking 1200.00. My Yukon Denali has 144000. I have only owned for about 2 months. It seems to run strong. But if I could buy for 1200 or less and have it switched for 500 and maybe sell mine for 500. Should I do it? Or does these motors last a long time and I shouldn't worry? Thanks for any advise you have. Bud

IMO....if yours is currently running strong just leave it alone. If maintained properly that motor you already have should go another 144k with no problem.
