i have been thinking about how to make this happen glad you posted that guess i know what ill be doing my next day off!
This Kit you linked to looks just about exactly the same as the one I bought.
That there's quick splice connectors that you simply squeeze shut onto your existing Headlamp Wiring.
No, maybe not quite as sophisticated-labor intensive as cutting-splicing, and then hot soldering and heat shrinking, but to tell the truth I've never had problems with those squeeze quick connectors, period. I said ten years. I'm now thinking I had my Hi-4 Kit on board actually closer to 12 years. Before I moved here to New Mexico. With the Hi-4 Kit, you really light everything, which on dark roads, and with just the high beams you could not see side roads, or signs to side roads very well.
The Kit offers long range seeing, plus up closer, and to the sides at the same time.
But one thing I'm seeming to like better with this particular kit you linked to, is the seller states he's using a 40A Relay, and a 30A Inline Fuse.
This sounds quite a bit "beefier" than the Kit I used, which I believe only has a 20A Relay and Fuse.
I do see a reply just previous to mine here with the suggestion to go HID.
Perhaps with this simple little cheap kit you should for sure feel you have better vision at night on the dark country roads, and may not even need to modify your lighting any further?
I also just started a thead here asking about Cree LED Lamp Replacements.
These aren't exactly cheap either, considering one needs two pairs on the OBS Chevys like ours. They seem to have long life, ultra bright, and the K color temps seem to be a lot whiter.
