Replacing D-Pillar speakers Yukon Denali with Bose, onstar and Nav.

The little speakers in the third row on my Yukon are blown and I got a new (to me) set from my local junkyard. The passenger side panel had a screw and was easy to pull off but the driver’s side panel is not going so smooth. It has a bolt instead of a screw and I can’t get this bolt out (refer to photos). If I use anything bigger than a 9mm with a 1/4 drive, the socket gets stuck like if the hole is too narrow. I’ve gone down all the way to 5mm socket and it’s not biting. Anyone know the proper tool or method to get this bolt out?

Is it possible that this is a Torx bolt, whereby the inside of the head is the point of contact with a Torx bit?

No it was actually a 7mm. From the factory it was supposed to have a regular screw. Whoever took it apart put it back together with a bolt. The problem is that no socket can fit in that narrow hole since it wasn’t supposed to have a bolt in there. But with some pressure I was able to force a socket over it and get it out. Thanks for your help though!!
