Today I have decided that my fuel pressure regulator is faulty. Narrowing it down to a leaking fuel pressure regulator. With a fuel pressure gauge, the key in the run position but not running, the fuel pressure jumped to 55 PSI and immediately started falling. Basically I am taking a shot in the dark that this is the problem. While I have the truck tore down does anyone suggest replacing anything else? I have heard of failing intake gaskets allowing coolant to reach places it should not. Also, whats the best way to clean the crud off the intake when I have the throttle body off?

Any suggestions or comments are much needed and would be very well appreciated.

Looking to use AC Delco brand for gaskets. Have heard people prefer the "metal back gasket" to solve the deteriorating problem the original gaskets have. Anyone know where i can get this gasket set at?

Is this a good gasket set. There was a choice between metal and rubber so I chose metal.
