Howdy!
I'm trying to replace the hood release in my 2004 Yukon XL 1500; however, I've hit a snag with getting the grommet behind the emergency/parking brake.
I've attempted to loosen the brake enough to be able to slip the grommet around the back of the brake; however, there is a black plastic enclosure that seems bolted to the bottom most bolt on the brake. Does that need to be removed as well? Is there a better way of replacing this that I haven't figured out?
Any help and insights that could be offered, would be greatly appreciated.
