I have a lifter collapsed on my 09 Tahoe 5.3 . I'm wanting to delete the Displacement on Demand. With doing this will the factory cam run right being in V8 mode all the time? Or do I need to replace the cam too? Engine uses oil hoping it will fix that problem too. Thanks

No, it will misfire as the lobes are different heights to work with the AFM lifters. Pick a drop in camshaft like those from Cam Motion or Crane, those without high lift and you can still use your stock springs.

On the cheap, you could get the camshaft from an L33, the 12583623. It's the same grind as your original without AFM, it's a Gen III cam. So you'll need to convert your timing sprocket and such to that, no biggies and will save you $300 bucks or so.
