I am looking to replace shocks on my tahoe. it is lowered with 3" eibach springs in the rear and all the way decranked stock keys in the front. no shock extenders.
it has the stock shocks right now and it rides like sh@t!!

im having a hard time deciding which shocks to go with. i know bilstiens are the best but im not sure it will be for my truck because they are not a lowering shocks. i need ur inputs on that..

im considering two options now
Bilstein HD and beltech street performance

what do u think guys?

2nd on getting bilsteins, im ordering new front and back sometime this week after i have a chance to take some final measurements. i have the belltech SP's all around on now after hearing nothing but positive things about them and i have to say i am not happy with them at all. much too soft and unresponsive for my liking, or atleast on the awful roads that we have in New England.
with that said though, the bilsteins are going to run just under double what you can get the belltech shocks for. i think i paid about $150-160 for mine since belltech was running some deal, and im looking at right around $320 or so for what the bilsteins are going to end up costing.

Bilsteins arent sold as lowered shocks but you can still get shorter shocks, you just have to know what length shock you need, extended and collapsed and find what fits your application. Theres a few threads on here that contain some part #s for both front and back bilsteins, just depends how low you are and what shock will fit while giving you enough up and down travel. I think shockwarehouse.com has a chart breakdown in their 5100 section showing the collapsed and extended lengths. Cant post it now since im on my blackberry but i THINK i posted the link for it in the "so sick of a bad ride" thread but i could be mistaken.
