Only issue I have with it, is the seats done 60 side of the 60/40 seats dont fold down more than about halfway. Not a big deal for me, I don't haul stuff too often that requires me to do that.

lol well mine would be for a crew cab (exact same box and seat) truck so that wouldn't affect me either. I think im going to put it on the list lol

It works for tahoe, avalanche, suburban and I think crew cab, I'm not sure look it up on crutchfield

View attachment 64956 So I changed my mind after reading all the comments and suggestions. Since a had replaced the HU with an Alpine unit that had line outputs, I went with a Alpine compact powered sub. Installed under the rear seat. Kept the working stock sub. All in for $310, and about 10 hours work. Taking my time, I need to remove the rear seats to modify the bracket so the sub fit where I wanted it and custom made mounting brackets. Front seat lossened to run line cable away from power wire. All in all I could not be happier. Fills in the sound I was looking for, didn't take up cargo room, and not too much $$$ for what I got.

so does your seat still fold down flat just like it did before? what bracket did you modify? the new sub bracket or the seat bracket?

Hey Travis, the seat folds almost all the way down. I like this sub as the enclosure is cast aluminum with a metal grill so it should hold up ok. I fabricated the brackets for the sub from 1 1/2 flat stock. Bent the ends to raise the sub up an inch, then out to sit flat on the floor pan under the carpet. Screwed the bracket to the pan using short sheet metal screws after making sure I wouldn't hit anything underneath...
I removed the seat and trimmed the flat part of the bracket up to the tube of the frame so the corner of the sub would sit flat on the bracket. It's the area by the fire extinguisher. Hope this helps. David

Sorry to drum up an old post but do you have any pictures of this. I am curious to see what is going on because your seat should fold all the way down.

Oh! I was thinking the seat wouldn't fold down to sit on it. Yes unfortunately we can not fix that LOL. Sorry
