I see alot of expensive builds. This one was done acquiring things via craigslist or online at low low prices. Lol. I did all the installations and bodywork myself except the paint on the body. I almost fid it myself but at the last minute I gave it to a bodyshop to spray just to make sure i didnt ruin it. Enjoy!
This is her before the work started. Just has 22 inch momo rims. Bought on craigslist for $450
It all started because of this old man. He did freelance body work and started on my truck just for touch ups. I got on youtube and decided to do the whole truck!
I used these 2 trucks as my inspiration to get started.
Day 1. I sanded the whole truck down with an electric sander. I later purchased a DA sander and compressor.
I said to myself. What the hell did i get myself into.
Sanded
Removed moldings
Took me 2 days to remove rear bumper and tow hook. Ordered rollpan from duraflex and installed it.
Removed badges and did bondo work
Wet sanded the body then off to the paint booth!
New paint.
Painted almost everything. Got her home. Still wasnt satisfied. Removed roof rack. Tried to mimick the escalade roof rack.
I needed more. Unbolted all the legs on the rims. Cleaned them. Sprayed with primer and color matched them.
Rebolted legs on and also color matched front emblem.
Finished product. For now. Esky roof rack and lowering kit will be next for christmas. Lol.
