Does anyone else have problems seeing when backing up at night? I cant see a thing. Im thinking about mounting some fog lights near the hitch and wiring them to the reverse lights. Has anyone done this before? Do you have any pics and or advice?

you can also put HID's in the stock housings. should be a thread on how to do it in the TECH section.

Um, Yes, yes and Yes! I've had that problem. Not any more though. You can read about it HERE.

Here is what my current reverse lights look like.

I've ordered up some rocker switches so I can wire them up to deal with tailgaters/high beamers! I'm excited for those to arrive!

I tried to do this with stock taillight housings, but the circuit board really makes things hard.

EDIT: Dope! 96ProCompTahoe and the big blue bus beat me to it!

I would like to figure out how to wire them to where they would work automatically with reverse lights or with a switch, but i'm not very good with wiring stuff. I want to do it right but don't really know what is the right way.

Sure, no worries. I drew up some wiring diagrams and stuff in THIS backup light wiring thread. It should answer any questions you may have. If not, then feel free to ask!

i did the H.I.D reverse lights and i did the relay and using the
lt green reverse light wire to trigger the relay. no holes drilled to
get the plugs up to the tails (i have clear) l.e.ds tails and i just

used a hot glue gun to mount the h.i.d bulb over the light socket.

head lights in the rear!!

Welcome to 'Da Club!'
Got pics?

I hear ya on the relay wiring. Currently mine are just wired straight into each existing light socket. When the snow is finally gone and spring has sprung, I"m gonna have to relay mine up to the cab switch, so I can deal with tailgaters....
