I'm currently running 265/70R16 on a stock suspension. When I look at my rig, I'd like to fill the wheel wells up better....tire just seems too small to me.

With that in mind, I like the look of "thick" sidewalls so going low profile it out of the question. I'm also not looking for big grabbers either.

Other then price, what are some of the negative aspects of going with a bigger 17 or 18" rim? How many mpg am I slicing off by going bigger?

Does anyone have photos of their rigs with 17's or 18's? I have dedicated winter tires on 16" rims and since 98% of my driving is highway, i was hoping to find summer performance tires in a 275/70R17 but no luck :(

Any recommendations guys or photos you can share???

17's are about perfect on those IMO. I always ran 17's on my OBS rigs and I loved the look. Just enough tire to match the size of the rim...

99 - did you lift your truck, or stocker?

Also, any idea how you gas mileage was affected?

thanks '99, good info.

Atomic - I'm too lazy to respond to the other post, but i'll pass on the MSD box. My motor is stock except for a CAI and BB tune...i can't see the benefit for my application to be honest with you?

What do you think?

Anyone else have good rim/tire photos to check out??

Its up to you man. the more mods the more it helps. Some seen a boost in MPG with all the msd stuff. Youll deff be getting a hotter spark to burn up some more fuel. No pressure :)

All the pictures i save in the computer, never include tire sizes or else id help ya out. lol sorry!
