My 04 Yukon is doing the same thing. I changed the front diff fluid and it looked like silver metallic paint. My guess is bearings grinding up.

exactly same noise on slow turns and between 10mph up to 30mph only in Auto4wd i checked all fluid differential,transfercase,powersteering fluid changed hubs with timkens and checked U joint CV boots new tires and alignment and noise still there. i recommend you take your tahoe to aamco transmissions they are good in 4wd
