I had the lowering done by the same shop that sold and mounted my tires. I needed this as my DD and it was February so I wasn't riding any of my Harleys to work, or else I would have done this myself. As it turns out, I'm glad I didn't. The spindles ended up being a pain in the ass.......for the shop. It was at this time I learned I had something called Autoride. The shop said the lowering kit came with some link things to correct the ride height, (ride height sensors I learned later) but it seemed my compressor wasn't turning on, and it looked to them like the fuses for it were missing. So I took the truck home and thought it rode and looked fine, but I was definitely going to look into this Autoride stuff. And that's how I found this forum, googling Autoride problems. Here it is right after lowering it. Autoride is disabled. Or it WAS. Until I replaced those fuses, and the dreaded "Service Ride Control" message popped up in the DIC and then it wouldn't go away. Even after I pulled those fuses. Better fix it.

Question: Did you Yukon have body "side shift" in the rear after lowering it? If not, did it already have a panhard; or if so, did you add one?

It’s off by 1/4”. I originally had a Spohn adjustable panhard but when I installed a girdle on the rear diff it didn’t clear. I have a QA1 panhard in it now that has a bend where it goes around the diff. The side to side isn’t really noticeable to me.

I removed the condenser and accumulator today. I’m not in a hurry to get this done and it’s pretty hot outside lately so I’ll take a couple three days to do this and work when it’s cool. The new condenser is from CSF, they say they’re an OEM mfr. It was $95 as opposed to over $200 for an AC Delco. It measures about 1/4” shorter but everything else is the same. All data states you just need to pull a couple bolts on the top of the cord support and remove the condenser but I had to do quite a bit more. Not too bad though, these trucks are super easy to work on.

I installed the compressor yesterday and forgot to get a pic. It’s Denso OEM. I’ll have to pull the wheel again to blow the lines out, I’ll get a pic then. The accumulator is Genuine GM OEM. The insulation blanket is pretty rough. The back half isn’t bad so I hit it with brake clean. The front half I ordered from Amazon, 2 day delivery. The one I ordered states it doesn’t fit my truck but I cross referenced the OEM #15074674 with this 15-10614 so I know it’s right.

The front lines will be easy to flush. It’s the rear ones I’m concerned with. I’ve seen videos of guys just blowing them at the firewall and having the fluid come out the return line but I’ll be disconnecting them at the rear and cleaning them separate and cleaning the rear condenser too.

Anyway that’s where I’m at. Next will be flushing the lines and then assembling everything.

Where did you order those spring clamps from? Are they in a kit? I'm trying to gather the correct sizes for spares for all locations in the cooling system that work with my piers. I can't find any GM part numbers for them on Rock Auto or GM Parts Giant.

Your old evaporator is still good? I had to replace mine and it wasn't hard, but still a pita.
I have no idea, I didn’t even know what an evaporator was until you mentioned it and I looked it up. I thought the condenser did the heat exchanging. I don’t really know sh*t about AC. Well, I hope I can just flush it. Crap I should probably replace it. Why did you replace yours?

Well I ordered the front evaporator, OEM. It will be here Thursday. As for the rear, that one will get thoroughly flushed. That’s it. No more dammit.

Edit: when I look this up on GM Parts giant, it only shows one, up front. RA shows a front and rear but only under non-OEM.
