Do eeeeet. Would the HVAC box/plenums work or is that also different?
The ducting is different, just need a few minor parts plus the dash support that goes under the top. I’m thinking a local wrecking yard for that stuff. Some wiring harnesses need to be extended. Not too bad from what I see in my research. Might change the wrap color or style too, idk. Planning on new leather seat covers someday. And some more stuff.

Bought the dash for $400 so it looks like I have a new project. I’m going to wrap the wood grain and silver parts with the same wrap I have on my other parts for now. I need to find a few other parts but I’m on it. I’ll wait until after Christmas to start on dismantling the truck. I need to work out a couple other details like what to do with my air gauge and switches.

Is the dash crack free? Get the airbag too?

Gut the 4WD switch panel and fiberglass or epoxy it to be a gauge pod?
I think the air gauge will go in the area between the right 2 vents in that large wood grain area ( that will be wrapped) so maybe the switches can go in the 4wd switch panel.

The dash is in perfect shape. No airbag but the 08 Tahoe and 08 Silverado use the same part so it should swap over. I understand all electronics will swap but there will be a couple extras that aren’t used; harnesses will need to be extended.

I found an Esky being parted and went to look at the plastic shell (cage?) that the dash mounts to and was hoping the interior was black so I could grab the rest of the stuff I needed. Glad it was a short drive because the Esky is different due to the console and it was cashmere. Wasted his and my time on a Christmas afternoon. Lesson learned. I need a Tahoe, Yukon or Silverado LTZ to rob parts from.

Also thinking a remote switch setup since one day the plan is to change the air management system to something different so if I can’t fit my switches into a panel that can be removed and replaced I might go with something like this.DC66D4E7-9051-4A2B-9EE7-2F562A970156.jpeg

Does it use a relay box? I don’t think mine is using relays, the wires are pretty big gauge and the damn switches get pretty warm. I think I need to add a relay box. Either way, I don’t want a 7 switch, it’s too complicated. I just want front up/ down and rear up/down. Thanks though.
