Disassembled the main shell from the inner structure so I can clean and paint it. Not sure if you can see in the pics (Sam:p)
but it has a whitish discoloration. This is after a scrub with Scotchbrite and Dawn.

Got one of the headrest covers on and was hoping I wouldn’t have to add the foam they included for the 08’s. They said the cover probably wouldn’t be tight enough and they’re right. It’s gonna be a ***** to fit these things over something even bigger than what I just did. They show use of a shop vac and plastic bag in the video in order to make the foam smaller. I tried it but my vacuum didn’t do much it seemed like.

When I did interiors, a plastic bag over the foam was all that was needed to help the leather slide over the foam. Never heard of using a vacuum to squeeze it more, but I like that idea. Although, that seems like a 4-******** and there's not much working room on a headrest for two people.

So the bag goes over the foam, and the vacuum sucks the air out of the bag, like those vacuum storage bags..? Maybe tape it up temporarily, until you get the cover over the foam, then remove the tape? Seems like the bag would have to stay around the foam though. Not sure I like that idea. I mean you could probably get some of it out, but really tough to remove all the bag after the cover is on.. I guess we all know who to go to with re-upholstery questions! This is a PITA!
