I removed the passenger running board in the hoe, replaced the bent brackets with some eBay ones and reinstalled it. It still has a dent but at least it’s not pushed in. The brackets had to have new holes drilled but they worked. Must be 2 different types, the ones with 2 holes where they attach to the running boards and ones with one hole. Anyway looks way better.

I don't suppose that the "step" part of the running board could be flipped around so the dent is on the inside? Knowing you, you already looked into that. But in the off chance... ;)

Nope. It’s shaped different inside/ outside. It’s an oval but the outside is a bigger diameter than the inside. And the step pads wrap down the front, you can see it in this picture.

I’ve got a few things coming up to do to the Tahoe now. Arnott rear shocks coming from Rock Auto, oil change and send a sample to Blackstone, Pioneer from The Beast is going in after I build the wiring harness and program the interface I bought from Crutchfield, and hopefully remove the dash to repair the cracks with the hot stapler I just bought. Weather has been crap lately and parts are still coming in. Wednesday’s weather is looking good so I’ll start then.

What interface did you get? That Maestro you have is great, but some expensive.

I bought the Crux GS-GM29 for $99. The Maestro was way more. I just got it pre-wired to an aftermarket Pioneer harness so I could leave all the wiring in the Denali as is and be able to swap it back in easily. I was dumb and threw the harness that came with the new Pioneer away a few months ago when I installed it because the old harness that was in the truck was the same. Anyway wiring the two harnesses together was straightforward, all the color codes were the same between except a couple wires. Tomorrow I’ll install the stereo and make sure everything works. I like the new Pioneer because with no disc mechanism it is small enough to fit the Crux on top of it. There’s not much room in the dash to stuff more in.

Changed the oil today, sending a sample to Blackstone. I noticed a few drops of nice pink fluid under the trans pan so I torqued the bolts. It looked like the pan had been removed recently so I’m thinking they changed the fluid and filter. Some of the bolts were pretty loose so I’m hoping that stops the leak. It looked real minor and I haven’t seen any big drops in the driveway. I checked the fluid level and color when I bought the truck and it looked fresh and full at that time.

I prefer Pioneer radios over anything else. @Trey Hardy had recommended a Sony DD to me. Gifted it to my gf for her van. Of course i was driving it for awhile. I just didn't like the Sony, and neither did my gf. Sold it after a few months. I then bought ANOTHER Pioneer DD. I have 3 now. They're just so easy to use, and they come with lots of nice features. Did yours come with a remote?
