I removed the passenger running board in the hoe, replaced the bent brackets with some eBay ones and reinstalled it. It still has a dent but at least it’s not pushed in. The brackets had to have new holes drilled but they worked. Must be 2 different types, the ones with 2 holes where they attach to the running boards and ones with one hole. Anyway looks way better.

I don't suppose that the "step" part of the running board could be flipped around so the dent is on the inside? Knowing you, you already looked into that. But in the off chance... ;)

Nope. It’s shaped different inside/ outside. It’s an oval but the outside is a bigger diameter than the inside. And the step pads wrap down the front, you can see it in this picture.
