Unfortunately that won't be easy. I need to make a curved flat place for them to mount on that I can install halfway down the grill. I'm thinking 1/8" plastic that I can jigsaw to the curve of the grill. Or figure out a way to make aluminum flatstock bend.

How wide a surface do you need to mount the LED strip to? Would a clear 6-sided mini blind rod work? They're cheap and easy to work with. I used a heat gun to soften and bend one into some tight radiuses for a project. A gentle curve would be super easy- support each end of the rod with something that will put each end high enough to give you the radius you need once the middle touches the ground or table. Heat it along it's length while it sags or gently press on it, check against the grille, then epoxy into place.

There was a new guy there last month trying to diagnose a trans problem where he had done a 4l80 conversion and was having problems with it not shifting into first but the way he stated it, he said the truck "starts in second" and I could understand what he was talking about, but the regulars thought he meant he was starting his engine in second gear. They just kept hassling him and harrassing him and asking him why he was stupid enough to start his truck in gear and he kept trying to explain but it was like they were in different worlds talking different languages. I finally explained to the idiots in very simple words but it was hard because the boneheads could only see it their way. After that, there wasn't another post from the idiots in the thread, no help, nothing. They just disappeared so they could go find the next person to harass. Like they were out just looking for someone to jump. It was the dudes first post too. I doubt if he stayed around.

That might work- the strip is only 3/8" wide.

Today I tackled 3 items on my to-do list. Which BTW is now all checked off so I'd better get to making a new list. Maybe a subwoofer box behind the rear seat against the back wall....anyway, all 3 of these were in the same area which happens to be my least favorite area of the truck to work on. The dash area where the stereo is. Due to the air switches, the air gauge and the heater ducts, the panel is super hard to remove and harder to reinstall. In fact I can't even completely remove it due to the switches. There's 8 wires going to them and I don't want to disconnect them if I don't have to so the panel just hangs when I'm working back there. I had a DVD bypass module to bypass the parking brake switch since I have no parking brake. I also wanted to remove the HVAC control and remove the labels, scrape the paint behind them, and put new ones on so when the lights are on at night they would look right. And the other night while I was out checking out how bright my retrofits were, I noticed the air gauge light wasn't working. I need that gauge, day or night. I got some 1/4" air line quick-connect couplers to extend the air lines going to the gauges because there wasn't any room to reach behind and release the air hoses when I'm pulling the panel so I got those ready. (I had some air line left over from when I bagged my Harley). So I managed to pull the panel out and removed the HVAC control, took it inside and scraped the symbols off the buttons and reapplied new stickers. BTW when I removed some of the stickers they removed all the black paint so I used a sharpie around some of the edges so the colors wouldn't show. I installed the DVD bypass which worked as advertised. So that's it. Extend the air lines, fix the HVAC buttons, install the DVD bypass and fix the air gauge light which had just come loose from the gauge and was dangling behind it. I guess that was 4 things lol.
