Anyone swap out the chrome roof racks from an Escalade or Yukon to a Tahoe yet? Looking to see if it’s an easy swap or should I let the dealership swap them out for me? Got a set from a 2018 Escalade that was converted to a limo for a great price so I figured why not swap them onto my 2018 Tahoe. GM Parts numbers indicate they fit.

Why is this a poll? Whether it's easy or not is subjective and dependent on your skill level.

If memory serves, you need to drop the headliner to gain access to the fasteners. Are you comfortable with that?

Poll was to get a quick glance on whether people thought it was easy enough to do it, or a challenging swap where a 3rd party maybe the best option.

I’ve heard the fasteners are required to gain access if I was completely removing the racks, so getting people’s opinions might be the best option. If I don’t have to remove the rear portion of the headliner, then I’ll attempt to tackle it myself. But if that is the case, I’ll have the shop do it and play it safe.

I’ve been looking for a set to put on my 2015 Yukon. Please post pics when done. Is the place you got them from local to you? I haven’t had much luck looking online.

Actually would you also post pics of them before they are installed? I’m curious about the underside surface.

I found them on eBay which were actually off the ESV. I happened to ask if they had any short wheel base racks and they said yes. These are the pictures she sent me as they are not expected to be delivered until Monday.

The company is out of Canada where they take new vehicles and convert them to Limo’s, which is why they remove them I guess. She said they are brand new condition.
I also bought the side steps with the chrome trim from them.
