@swathdiver I don’t sleep much james.... by-product of my dad making me go to work with him since i was 5 (which is why i like your girls helping you) and combination of stupid little bug that bit me thats makes me not be able to sleep...its ok though i get things done at home in the wee hours of the morning while everyone is sleeping...
I cant work on the truck though, my girls room is right above the garage....

I tried to do that and found out I could only drive one monitor, either the backup cam in the mirror or on the Rosen. It seems that there isn't enough signal to drive both. I got alot of wavy lines and distorted pictures

I just installed the Rosen PR-GM1210 into my 2011 Chevy Tahoe LT with factory XM, Bose and OEM backup camera through the rear view mirror. The problem I'm having how do I get the back up camera to show on my Rosen instead of the rear view mirror. The instructions are kinda a vague on what to do. Has someone installed one of these and got the camera through the Rosen.

Thanks,
Ramiro

Ramiro,

You have to go into the mirror harness - it IS NOT available at the kick panel as is mentioned in this thread. If you get logged into the ADC Mobile website (you now have access to all the tech materials), you will need to go tho the "Avalanche/SUV" section of the Camera Support page. Here's what it says:

You may have a mirror that has no easily accessible plug in the kick panel location to get the camera’s output from. In this case, you can always go to the back of the mirror to tap into the camera video positive and negative wires. These wires will be in pins 6 (usually white or pink) & 7 (usually blue) in the plug on the back of the mirror – you can also grab them further up the harness under the short overhead console – they are usually wrapped in blue foil further up the harness under the tape.

You just need to run a single RCA cable up there, chop off the end, separate the center conductor from the copper shield wire, then connect the center conductor wire of the RCA to the WHITE (or PINK) wire in pin 6 of the mirror plug and the copper shield wire of the RCA to the BLUE wire in the pin 7 position.

Walt,

So right there will be the only place I can tap into the the rear camera signal? I logged into the website. I saw the Avalanche & SUV factory camera wiring . I will give this a try. I was hoping to get something I could plug and play to get the camera signal.

Thank you,
Ramiro
