Our 2004 Tahoe has the factory DVD player above the second row. I am going to be adding a backup camera and monitor soon and was wondering if anyone had run the signal from the rear DVD to a front monitor?

If nothing else it would help to see what the kids are watching so we can help set it up since they arr young.

Thanks!
Ian

How did this work out for you? OP in original thread stated he had issues. Also, that shows the tap for video, but what about audio?

well, if he still has the stock (OEM) radio, he just needs to change the input to RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) and the audio will go through the speakers. This is done from the factory. This is will also work on aftermarket radios depending on the correct harness...

Every harness I have seen will not let you keep your RSE with an aftermarket radio. The only one that comes close is the GMOS-100, but it only lets you keep RSE in NNBS....

Am I missing something? I would REALLY like to have it back!

Yes, your missing something. IF your OE radio was the source of activating RSE (by hitting the source button) you can use this harness. If activation was somewhere else like the rear controls, then no you can't

Meta GMOS-014 - GM Onstar/ RSE/ and retain the warning chimes module

The GMOS-014 is designed to retain Onstar/ Rear seat entertainment (RSE)/ and retain the warning chimes that are normally lost when the OEM radio is removed. It also provides a 12 volt accessory output for aftermarket radio operation.
The GMOS-014 provides a mute/ parking brake/ vss or speed sense and reverse output to make installing an aftermarket navigation radio simpler and less time consuming.

I have the gmos-04 which doesn't have the rse option. Could I still get me rse to work with this?I'm more worried about the audio honestly. don't much care about having the video on my head unit. Also, I thought there would be a way to hook headphones up to it and i still be able to listen to music through the truck.
