I just noticed that all 4 wheel locks on my 21 Denali are rusted. Anyone else experience this? Is this normal? I could wipe a bit off with my finger but have never seen this before.PXL_20220112_223528790.jpg

Bummer. A little bit of rust certainly draws the eye right to that spot. Are you in the rust belt? I've not seen that on new locks. Maybe a touch of naval jelly would get rid of that, at least for a while.

I passed on the GM locks when I saw the price. Figured I'd get a set of McGard's instead, which I've had good luck with in the past. Now, months later, I still don't have any and probably won't. I ordered mine with 20's, so I hope they're seen as boring stock wheels. It's in the garage 90% of the time anyway.

You could throw them away cause they're totally pointless. Slightly smaller 12 point socket pounded onto the round wheel lock and it's coming right off...same trick used for removing stripped allen head bolts and it works like a dream. Any thief bold enough to actually steal a set of wheels off a vehicle would know this trick

Wheel locks... a complete waste of money and about the time you have problems for some odd reason, the removal key can never be found. I'd take them off...

--^^^x3^^^--- Wheel locks are a complete waste of time, as professional thieves already have the wheel lock tools for most of the commercial wheel locks.

The shop where I have my work done told me that , when I took my new-to-me 07 in for some work that I was not interested in doing myself (I had already thought that, but the confirmation was great).

2 weeks ago, I was at my shop again for an inspection sticker, and they had a car on the lift for a tire changeover, and the driver had not put the wheel lock tool in the car. As described above, the mechanic got a specific socket, pounded it onto the wheel lock, and off it came.

Thank you all for the replies - i bought the vehicle with the locks on and I don't think I received any additional parts.

Looks like I might be stuck with this one
