That sucks, at least you have good insurace. The stock alarms are more of a keyless entry feature than an actual alarm, I used to work at a chevy dealership around 2001 and all the trucks actually had the so called alarm all the dealership has to do is move a little wireing around, that is why it is always worth investing in a good alarm ie. Viper, Clifford etc.

I have State Farm as well. I was under the impression that insurance didn't cover aftermarket items. Called the agent and she informed me that all I have to do is take pictures of all aftermarket items send it to them and I'm good. Radio, Rims, Amp, Rear 17in screen, rear 12in and even the Ps2 for the kid.

Did warn about Other items such as TV's in the Sun visor and Nav systems with TV feature. Anything Illegal is not covered. Truck was broken into about six months later. Window shattered and the bastard jacked the Nav with the alarm blazing in broad daylight. Called State Farm told em what was stolen and they connected me with another retail audio company they deal with directly. My Nav model was discontinued so sent me the new version and a installation voucher along with a capacitor for free.

Love State Farm.

Still no answer on what they are going to do. They say I should know for sure this afternoon.

It is so frustrating :(

I know right!!!

Well they apparently are waiting on a supplemental estimate to replace the wheels and tires, and its looking like the wheels will push it past the percentage they use for declaring a total loss.

Until they get the esitimate back I am twisting in the wind :emotions122:
