I'm in a '19 LT RWD Burb right now while our '08 Denali XL AWD is having a new bumper cover installed. A guy who had liquid lunch backed his Merc C63 into our bumper in a busy parking lot. The paint on our hood was toast too, that's also getting a respray.
The '19 has nice leather and is almost identical to our current vehicle that's black / black / black. Love the apple car play and the 6SP Auto 6L80 trans mated up to the FFV 5.3. The mileage is constantly at 14-16 in town off regular fuel. There's deff less padding in the seats because they're contoured vs. couch style. They’re still comfortable, but difficult to get a credit card out of your pocket when seated. At 6'3" I think I prefer the couch style seats in our '08 because you slide off the foam on the bolster vs. dragging your ass over a hard, contoured, less padded bolster. Meh, either is no biggie.
The carpet is pilling up which is kinda odd and the projection headlights have poor output for a 2019 era SUV. Would I wait to purchase one in 3-5 years to miss the depreciation, absolutely. Without the MRC and AWD that suck up road imperfections, the ride is typical. It's suspension is precise and easy to point. It also shows me how wiped out the sway bar bushes are in our '08.
Full retail on this rental vehicle is $63K. Discounted price on a '19 RST w/ 6.2 is 71K. All I can say is that time will tell which platforms are the cherry's to be picked after depreciation falls off. It's kinda the Wild West again with what GM is turning out.
