I'm kind of partial to the blend mount myself

View attachment 203928

I had the blend mount for the radar on my previous vehicle (Subaru BRZ). In the Tahoe I feel like it hangs too low and is too visible to prying eyes. I like the visor clip mount because it keeps the radar out of sight, out of mind (although you do lose full use of the visor). I am using the scan gauge blend mount in this installation.

Is your visor still functioning?

It is if you want it to, but the radar would be pointing up, which is useless. I’m tall (6’2”) so I rarely need the visor (I just use sunglasses). I’ll try to post a few more pics later today of the radar hard wiring route.

ya I got tired of getting dvd systems stolen so I got a viper alarm with smart start, glass sensor, tilt sensor and gps. most alarms do not come with a glass sensor so thieves just break a back window crawl in take what they want and crawl back out never triggering the alarm. I also tinted all the back windows 5% and a light tint on the front so if your just passing by you cant even really see inside much. then I added a scanning 6 led light in the console (that lights up when the alarm is activated) so if there dumb enough to ignore that then there going to meet my katana. :893karatesmiley-thu

Haha! Katana protection! I like it. Yeah, I do plan on tinting the windows the same, which will be happening sooner rather than later. The factory tint isn’t sufficient enough for the Texas heat. Though I still need to fix the driver window motor before that can happen. I did just got done wrapping the entire vehicle, so I’m trying to hold off on doing more to it for a little bit.
