Hello. I recently purchased a pretty good scan tool. Except I really don"t have the ability to properly understand what it analyzes. Can someone please point me to where i can learn what values my 5.3L engine should operate normally at. THANK YOU ALL

I don't know of any defacto list other than what is stated in the gm repair manual, I guess it depends on what you are trying to find out specifically. what brand/model scanner did you get? the dealer and some of the members here use the dealer tool "tech2"

Thank you. I don’t have the service manuals mostly do to the expense they command. I have considered pitching an electronic version. There are many and I am not clear yet about which one to get.
The scanner I bought is a Actron CP9696 elite. My first scanner and it seems to be adequate enough. Except my experience and knowledge is very limited so I can’t be so sure of that. Time will tell.

The All Data is a good source of info. I have resourced it in the past using the Pro version. A good friend used it for his business and he allowed me access. Thank you

Alldatadiy is the same as the service manual and it’s inexpensive.
