So I got these speakers and after more research I’ve found that these don’t even fit the metro adapters. But I’ve seen people saying they screwed them straight to the door. Wondering if/how anyone has done it.

Thought about doing them like people do subs and have the magnets out. Lol

I just put 6.5 inch Kickers in all 4 doors. In the rear , I had to use the plastic adapter rings to get extra clearance. The fronts mounted direct to the door.

I saw in a review that the basket on mine is too wide

Do not install them with the magnets out unless you like the sound muffled and speakers sticking through your door panels. They’re not subs.

Can't tell you how many of this type I've installed in doors in the '70's. I've even taken large hole saws to doors. If you've got the clearance and/or the spacers you can put them anywhere.

The more I search it feels as if I have to make my own adapters.

I installed 6.5’s in all 4 doors, 2 needed the adapters and 2 needed nothing. Not sure which were which as far as front or back.
