It dissolves built up carbon deposits and allows them to pass out through the exhaust. I run seafoam through my rig every year or so. Good stuff.

It's a little hard to tell from the pic which line that is...if its the one that your PCV valve is attached to, then it's the right one (I have an 00, it's set up a little different). If there was enough vacuum to pull the seafoam into the engine, then you probably did it right. How many miles are on your truck?

only about 60k, yeah it had good suction, like I had to do a little at a time, to keep it from stalling.

I had my wife hop in the car and keep the idle up with the accelerator pedal, worked pretty good and fast and kept it from stalling, plus she was able to turn the car off right away when it was done!

You can do it whenever, I forget what the technical term for what is in the stuff but it is not harmful to your truck

good stuff... hey brndn... you need to use a different line, the line you are looking is on the brake booster. if your truck has hydroshock breaks or whatever they are called then the line you are looking for is on the passenger side connecting the intake manifold to the block. You want to disconnect the hose from the block side if i remember correctly

From what I've been told you don't want to suck it up too fast. If you get too much straight liquid in the cylinders you can hydro lock (I think that's what they called it) the engine and do some serious damage, like bent rods and shit. I've done it on my 2,000, just let it sip it like they said, as fast as you can without killing the engine. I've heard of people sticking the hose right in the can but have been told that's when you can do the damage.

just play it safe, its really hard to **** things up with this stuff... just read the directions on the bottle and follow them... if you do that you will be 100% fine.

well i got some smoke this time, found that line Ty....wasn't a shitload of smoke, but i'm happy, lol...although I was talking to Hyde and he has a good point, what's to bet most of that smoke is just the seafoam burning off? I don't think it's necessarily all the carbon. Not saying it doesn't do what it says it's supposed to do, but I think the smoke would be more from the seafoam(petroleum based) burning off. either way, I got to blow some smoke :D
