Seat heater door switch

Need to change the seat heater switch on the door but I can't seem to pop it off. Anyone done this and have some advice?

It's a pain to get it out from the outside. Much easier, but more work, to get it out from the inside which requires pulling the door panel.

Very difficult to pop out from the outside without messing up the door panel. Removing the door panel is fairly painless. Many how to articles and videos on the net.
