Driver seat was stuck in one spot. Would not move forward or back. Did usual trouble shooting. Heated seat weren't working, plugged new elements in to see if it helped, checked fuses, etc. when going forward or back, the motor that controlled that movement made a buzz, but did not work. Local GMC dealer said the entire seat track had to be replaced. They quoted me at $2000, lol. I bought an entire track with all motors and computer for $200 off of eBay. It was a pain in the ass to go the base off the vehicle because the motor was shot. Ended up having to hack saw off the bolt on the back driver side. Could not get at it. Anyway, I finally was able to see some daylight. Replaced both the bottom and top seat elements, the bottom leather, and installed the whole works. I got power and heat now, but my lumbar doesn't work now. That's something I'll have to look into more, but I'm happy with the results.

Way to get her done.....man your heating element was toast! I can't imagine not being able to move the seat to get to the bolts to remove it. I know this because I just took mine out a few weeks back and did my drivers bottom seat cover.

I had someone weld the corner I butchered up to get the old seat track out. Trim hides everything. *disregard the 9mm in the background. [emoji16]

Did you replace the entire lower seat cover with a used one?
