That typically means you have either a seat/back heat element pad that has a broken wire =a short. Dorman makes replacement pads

I agree it sounds like a burnt heating element. Does the passenger side heated seat work? If so, let it warm up and then turn the driver side on. If they both go out I would say it's a driver side heating element. To narrow down if it's the back or the bottom just try it with the back only and see if it stays on.

I have the same issue. I tried swapping out the bottom seat warmer but it still does the same thing so, mines the relay under the seat or the back warmer. I have a bottom warmer I'd sell ya if you need one just shoot me a pm

Thanks for the help guys!
Passenger side works fine. Driver side turns off no matter if I turn on the bottom or the back.
Make me think its not a relay bc if that was bad it wouldn't turn on at all would it?

That's how I understand how the system works. My drivers side would shut off after a few minutes or right away. Passenger side could run all day... Turn on the drivers side and the passenger side would turn off as soon as the drivers side did. It would probably be beneficial to pull the seat covers and see which one is fried before you order. You could order both and return the one you don't need too. I actually just replaced them both while I had the seat apart. The replacement pads are about $70/ea

Awesome, thanks Joshua. So dorman is the best/cheapest place to get replacements?
Kind of sucks tho, bc I also need to replace the bottom seat cover. This sounds like its going to add up quickly haha.

Yea Dorman is probably your best bet for new elements. And try the seat shop for the covers. I'm about to place an order with for my two bottom covers. Pricey but they said they'll match perfectly.

I ordered mine from partsgeek. Dorman are the only ones that I could find that made an OEM replacement ... I'm sure you could find a "universal" one cheaper but you may have to modify it or something else to make it fit right. Not worth saving $25/pad to me.
It adds up for sure, get a price from the dealer... That'll make you feel better!
