Security light on steady, truck runs.

Hey gurus, I'm away from home at the moment and I got the "security" light illuminating steady. The truck starts and runs fine. After reading the book it says there's and issue with the passlock system and the vehicle is not protected. (not to concerned about protection, more concerned about it locking out the injectors a few states away from home). I'll be home in a few days, where do I start to trouble shoot this?

(I searched passlock and most come up as no start conditions)

I've had this happen twice but each time it's gone away on its own. Hast happened in 6 months or so now

I'm beginning to wonder if it was the heat. It was in the high 90s and I was stopping and starting it frequently. The temps are a little more believable now and haven't seen it since.
