Hey I don't know how familiar you are with RockAuto but I have shopped from there quite a bit, recently. They make it really simple to buy the parts that you need and even have bundle packages which include the tensioner, belt & idler pulley. Can't beat it!

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...551,belt+drive,belt+drive+component+kit,10660

This is for a 2003 but it's merely an example. Just select which alternator is specific to your application (105 or 145) so that you order the correct product.

I just bought a Goodyear gator back from RockAuto and it barely fit. I'm still not all that confident in it being the correct size but it's up to you. Continental I think manufactures the Goodyear gator back, as that is what I piurchased and in came the Goodyear. Any $20+ belt is going to last over 100k miles so I wouldn't be all that concerned with the make. If anything, the OE Delco that was on the truck for 15-years should be your first choice for replacement, not aftermarket.

Only reason for my buying the continental elite aka Goodyear GatorBack is that it was on clearance for $8.00 at the time. If not for that I would have gone Delco for sure.

I can assure you that RockAuto is a quality retailer. They carry the same parts as everybody else, warranty, return-friendly. Website is the easiest to navigate. I highly doubt anyone would advise against using RockAuto.

The Goodyear Gatorback belts are no longer available. They are replaced by the Continental Elite. Or should I say that they Gatorback belts are now "renamed" as the Continental Elite. Because it's the same exact belt, they even the same part number. Just ordered some Continental Elite belts for my son's 99 Silverado and I can say for SURE that they are indeed identical in every way to the Goodyear Gatorback belts that are on my Suburban.

You either have a 130a or a 145a alternator. And both of those use the same belt. I'm not sure why they even list a 105a alternator because those only come on pickups. Now "maybe" they might come on a base model Tahoe with no rear AC and manual roll down windows, but I have NEVER seen or heard of a Tahoe/Yukon that had anything less than a 130a alternator.

One thing to check is to look at your current belt to see if there are numbers on it, and xref it to the Continental Elite, which is what I would recommend. I replaced both belts, tensioners, and idler pulleys on my '04, and that cured the typical chirp. Your howl may be a bad bearing.

EDIT: The RPO code for the 145a alternator is KG3.
