Well reseated both wiring harnesses under drivers and passengers seat and no change. I think in might be the sensors behind the front bumper. I remember parking a few days ago and pushed up against a wood barrier with the front bumper when I parked a day later the light came on.

Haha ya left that part out. I read before on the NBS trucks the ones just behind the bumper can be depressed and not deploy the airbags - i'm sure that's the same with your truck. Curious as to what you find back there.

If your front sensors are like mine, it would've taken a heck of a hit on that barrier. The sensors are not right behind the bumper, they are directly below the radiator on the frame.

As BeenChevy said, put a Tech 2 on it and it will tell you which sensor is bad, if that is what is actually wrong.

The main causes r the harnesses and/or sensors behind the bumper. My light was on for a year and change before I finally changed the sensors.

My issue is my plates are up for renewal this month and in Missouri we have safety inspections. I would be curious to see if I would pass with the airbag light on?

*old thread revival*

Mine has been on for about two months. I don't have a tech2 but a shop scanned for me and said it was the front airbag sensor 2. My question is does anyone know if that is the driver or passenger side of the radiator?

If they weren't $170 a piece I would replace them both at the same time but rather just get rid of the annoying light for now. I've been driving the truck for 3+ years without a splash shield so figured that's what caused it.

Also if anyone knows where I can get a quality replacement for less than $170 let me know

There's one on each side, and they're identical. Buy one, replace one of them and see if the light goes off. If not, swap them and you should be good.

They're expensive because they have gold-plated connectors for maximum corrosion resistance. Even the Dormans are expensive.

I've replaced all 4 on my two trucks. :boxed:
