I am driving down the road today and the "Service Airbag" message comes on with the airbag light.... I have done some searching and have read to disconnect the fuses and battery for 10 minutes, no luck. Nothing has been hit with my truck or anything different today. Worst part is I have someone looking at buying it tomorrow. Any ideas on what the cause / fix is?

For those that ever come across this problem. I found a connection on the drivers seat loose. It looked as if it was connected but was not. A clip style connector close to the seat belt under the seat.

You have any pics or anything that might show the clips? Also did you have to pull any fuses or the battery? Thanks

Ok so the dealer tells me that I have a bad front impact sensor. I believe I get one from gmpartsdirect but does anyone have any experience installing one of these? The sensor is easy to locate but is there any risk of setting off the airbag? How do disable the airbag when working on any of its sensors or removing the steering wheel?
