I thought each gas pump had it's own filter...you know it needs to be changed when the fuel flow is really slow (doesn't matter whether the truck just delivered or not) Did those filters go away with the recession?

Suit yourself, get your gas right after the truck delivers. When did filter ever stop everything? They don't, in our vehicles so what makes you think it does in the underground strage tanks?
