So next weekend I'm dropping off my truck to get some stuff painted and figure while I'm there that I can get the tail gate shaved. Now I'm not sure if I want just the rear wiper removed or the tailgate handle as well. Anybody have pics of either to help me decide?

Looks so clean, this is definitely on my list of things to do..

x2. That looks alot better and cleaner. i think ive only used mine twice since ive had it, and that was just b/c ive never had one. lol. useless to me, especially since we have no rain for months. Do they just weld a piece of sheet metal over the hole?

The first page has the info you need, but every **/yuk/den/esky owner should read his entire thread, he has done AMAZING things.

It LOOKS like he just epoxied it, but I could be wrong. Later in the thread he puts his gas nozzle behind his tail light and spot welds the old gas "door" shut before putting epoxy and sanding

EDIT* he adds a solenoid in the hatch so he still has access

It sure does look way better without the wiper and holder on the tailgate, but we use ours a ton 6 months out of the year so I don't see ours getting shaved anytime soon!!

Yeah same here. I test drove a badass SS this winter that had shaved door handles and when my friend and I got out to take a look at the engine and to check fluids and I ended up getting locked out because the solenoid was too cold to pop the door, so I dont ever see myself shaving anything unless its the tailgate if I ever got a truck

and from my experience, the door poppers go bad alot. Get em all the time at my job. I would shave the gate, the wiper or the push button glass, but door handles, never.
