Looking for an idea of where to look for quality Shocks and Leaf Springs...

Brands
??? Whatever else
??? Whatever else

Basically, I know nothing about car stuff... Hoping to learn.. I have a brother who is a mech and can help install.. I just need an idea of what I a looking at...

It's a stock 99 Tahoe with the exception of a 4" lift and 31" tires

Leaf springs are currently looking pretty flat and shocks are old... I can lay under rear bumper and pull truck down about 2 inches.

Much appreciated, I did quick search.. But I am impatient, what can I say..

seeing how you are lifted find the maker of the lift and see if they have replacement spring upgrades to work in place of your stock spring and lift blocks which i assume you have.

Buy replacement springs and then do a shackle flip. You'll save a ton of money. And your ride quality will be much better.

If you are dead set on springs though, deavers may or may not make springs for your truck. But if they do, I'd go with them personally. A little on the pricey side, but there are a ton of good review out for them on different forums

Shock wise, Bilstein 5100's are my first choice. Or Fox 2.0's. You get what you pay for in shocks. The cheaper they are, the worse the ride will be. I have 5100's and LOVE them.

The Truck was lifted when I got it... 4" Body Lift (Thought I said that)

I actually wish I could remove the body lift. But I don't know how to do so, and I keep getting told its more trouble than its worth.

The 4 inch body lift shouldn't matter when it comes to replacing front shocks should it?
I finally got the shocks in, just waiting on nut for stud.. Might be able to put these on this weekend.
Talked to brother, who said I may not even have to raise vehicle to install.

If I do raise it, do I need to worry about the coil springs?
