I just found out that my Yukon came with an Z71 package as per the RPO.... I have been running the yukon with the recommended shocks as per different searches.. only to find out that the ones for a Z71 package are about 1.5 inches longer.......this will explain my yukon hitting hard..... can anybody please confirm that Z71 shock are longer than normal yukon shocks...

also I understand the shocks used in the z71 are the hd for the c/k 1500 series... which are 1.5 inches longer in front and almost 3 inches longer in the bag.... can somebody confirm this info...

those are the measurements difference that I found out between the shocks they sell for a yukon/hoe lt. sl. or slt to the Z71 shocks that comes from the c/k 1500 series...... look at different sizes and all the hd schocks for c/k 1500 series were always longer about 1.5 in the front to up to 3 inches in the back.... I am probably looking at the wrong stuff... but my truck definatly felt different once I change the schocks ........ last time I was in PR was about 2 years ago... always try to go every other summer but sometimes the tickets are way more than what I want to pay.......

Go to your parts house, they should be able to tell you. I've just replaced everything with Rancho RS5000's, and love them. I can hit speed bumps at any speed slow or fast and my rig hardly moves. Toyt like a toyga.
