Hello everyone, I have been told different things about disconnecting my battery before installing a Cold Air Intake! What is the bottom line? What negatives or positives are there? Thanks in advance Forume Fam!

I ignored when doing the one on my ram and I had a check engine light on for awhile, lol. I would just disconnect it.

I've heard there is a possibility of the computer not resetting for awhile. I wouldn't think it would be an issue! Maybe it depends on the engine?

I disconnected it, i figure better safe then sorry. I completed the install and left it disconnected overnight. When I started it this morning it died almost immediately after cranking. 3 cranks and all good now. I just got to work, it was a 15 minute drive no issues!
