the part of the fender liner is pressed right against the interior cabin liner so maybe banging the liner might be minimal but enough then there is really not a place to zip tie but....I will have to experiment.

Used to “NorCal Nick” the fenders on NNBS trucks, not sure if you can use it on these new gen.

You can pick up 1/4” wheel spacers at the auto part stores for cheap. Hardly noticeable and will take the tire off the sway bar.

FWIW I’ve got sway bar rubbing on my stock 16.

Hi all, first time post but was able to get a bunch of good ideas from this site so thought I would share pics of my 2016 Suburban LT 4x4. I lowered the rear 2" with the Norcal SS kit (front is stock) and added 22" Dub Shot Calla wheels and Yokohama Parada Spec-X 285/45 r22 tires. Also tinted the front windows and added black chevy bow ties.

The rear still has approximately 1/4 rake after it settled.

Yep, I was pulling into a parking area and at full turn going over a curb the sound coming from the front end was bad. Bad enough my passengers quickly asked what was wrong....I was embarrassed to tell them that it was normal. I really feel like swapping to the stock spindle and change over to the coil overs and try to eliminate all factors involved with rubbing and retain the lower ride height.

Anyone have part # for Belltech coil overs?

Why is it that you think it's the drop spindles causing your wheel rubbing issues? If you re-installed the stock spindles and then lowered the vehicle with Belltech coilovers (or springs, or lowering "cups/rings") to the same static drop you have now the problem would still exist. The spindles aren't causing your wheels to rub, your ride height is.

If you want to have your truck lowered at the height you're at now and run the same size wheel and tire without any rubbing I would suggest you look into the "Norcal Fender Mod". There are many online videos and how to of shops doing this mod to both raised and lowered trucks in order to gain clearance in the front wheel wells.

The other thing I have noticed is that these spindles give a touch of positive camber over the stock ones. They are still with in the factory spec but I think I am going to try to adjust them out just a touch. I'm not rubbing at all on the fender liners but I need tires.

If the rubbing is in the rear of the wheel well then how could a 1.5" drop effect that area of space. I could easily see if it upper fender well was effected. The rubbing i see on the fender well might be in an area might be grooved in such a specific are that the tolerance is so close were maybe the drop just eliminated the tolerance.

Norcal suggested a 2x4 trick to push back the fender well lining so I will try that tomorrow.

Plus Im not a huge fan of the MRC suspension so maybe I was looking for an excuse to get the coil over option.

I read all 24 pages of this thread - - - so pardon the question if I missed something.

New to the late model/lowering thing. I just upgraded from an 05 Suburban to an 18 Tahoe LT. It is 4wd with the premium ride suspension (not auto ride, it has the Nivomat shocks). I'm looking to lower the rear 2". All of the Max Trac applications I saw on their site are for auto ride so I looked at Mcgaughy. They do have 2" springs for the rear but there's a note that it is for 2" diameter shocks, not the heavy duty ones - meaning I'd have to buy those and ditch the Nivomats? Any feedback on the quality of that setup or would I be better off going in another direction? Last question - if I went with their springs/shocks would I'm assuming I wouldn't need the relocators, correct?

Not looking for a 2/4 or anything, just want to level. And I don't want it to ride rougher. No plans to tow anything.

Call, I know there are spacers and other little tricks to help fine tune the height you are desiring. Also don't let the #'s fool you. I didn't think I wanted 2" but it isn't that drastic if you ask me. I wanted 2" but feel the 2.5" was better. 3" wouldn't work with the lack of drop I saw on my front end so....2.5" was more ideal
