I think the GMC will grow on me, interested to see the HD versions. I may check into getting a GMC next year if that interior looks better in person.

This is why I'm withholding my final judgement until I see it in person.

From the pics we've seen and the video the interior looks good to me. The Sierra looks better than the Silvy to me but those renderings of a slammed Silvy are very close to changing my mind on that. I like some of the features that they've added. The rest will have to wait until i see one in person.

There are certain people that just don't like change and never will like change. there's also a large percentage that don't like it initially that will get used to and will start to warm up to the redesign especially once people start modding them. So we shall see :) I can say my initial thought on it from what I thought yesterday morning to now has changed slightly as I've continued to look at the pics and read about them.
You are right.
Some people cannot be satisfied at all.
If one does not like it, don't buy it.
The only other real options for trucks are Ford, Dodge, and Toyota, so they can take their business to them if they so desire.

Now here's a retro-Ford feature that I had on a 1983 Ford pickup, and GM calls it a "sliding rear window":

Here's what I call it: Another place for wind noise, water leaks, and easy break-in access point.
