Wow your just being a retard now. Your lumina is $a -500 beater thats around the 90s and actually lasted. Your comparing it to a way newer vehicle that the solenoid pack should have lasted and that many many people have had problems with

I am being retarded? You are the one that is bitching because a wearable part failed. I don't believe I have ever bitched about a cracked dash have I? It is an 05, 8 years old, sell or fix it but quit trying to say that Ford should cover anything on a vehicle that old. The plastic piece cracked, it sucks but you want old vehicles so suck it up, fix it, and go on with life.

I am going on with life im not the one turning a comment into a trolling match. I already said i was gonna get it fixed but it sucked that fords quity is terrible and theres a law suit about it. If you are a very large company you would want your customers to get the best experiances so they keep on coming back for the new stuff so yes i do believ thsy should repair it since its not even something that really wears. Since when is doing nothing to the hatch wearing it? If i need to get back there i open the whole thing not jist the window hatch. And i never said u botched about the dash i was using it as an example of a proper way od helping the customer like gm did in those cases. End of this lil trolling match now back to the oroginal thread because its obious its gone way out of topic

I never said the hatch was a wearable part but referring to shift solenoid that "Ford should have replaced". I deal with people like you everyday and do you know the reason why companies do not replace parts like this? Because then the people you help find something else to ***** about and it never ends. You own it, it is not new, so it is on you to fix it. If it was say a tire coming off due to a poor designed product or a product flaw then yes they should do a recall because that is a safety issue. You are young and not very "wise" I understand that but you shouldn't argue things you do not understand.

Looks like yates finally went to bed. :evillol:

All that smoke and laser stuff from General Motors, and uh, what's missing from the presentation a few days ago? What's missing is the estimated miles per gallon figures, which General Motors said it will throw out at a later time. That's probably not a good sign at all, and is probably when General Motors should really use the smoke equipment. :Big Laugh:

Yeah, Robbie I'm going to need a set of those new chrome Sierra 20s for my Denali.

Other than that I like the silverado, especially the non LTZ grille and headlights better than the Sierra. Will probably replace my NBS with one eventually. Certainly not in the first year though.

Bravo GM, Bravo. And to think this is coming from a guy who had a 2007 Tahoe with an engine that failed at 95,000 miles in the middle of Wyoming in September.

Make the Yukon look just like the Sierra and I'm back on board. The only thing I don't like are the leds in the headlights. I love that grille in body color. I absolutely love the interior. That's a truck interior. Let it carry over to the HDs and SUVs, both of which I'm planning on buying in the not to distant future. I can't wait to see these things in person at the Chicago Auto Show in February.

Now, solve 3 problems so that I never have to worry about this thing crapping out on me like my last truck. Cylinder deactivation. It's a good concept, but you fail in one major way. The air still gets compressed when the injectors turn off. Compressed air heats up. Fuel, among other things, cools down the temps in the chamber. That's why a stoichiometric AFR value of 14.7 is so important. Create something in the head that prevents the valves (or at least the intake valve) from opening, such as hydraulic lifters that disengage when the injectors turn off. Solve the oil coking issue you are already having with the I4 and V6 DI engines. Just because you added 2 more cylinders doesn't mean you fixed the problem. Finally, where is the new 8 speed trans I've heard about that will debut in the 2016 models. Those are why I'm waiting until MY2018 for a new Yukon. Guess my next purchase is a Sierra 2500HD Duramax/Allison CCSB.

GM definitely got the looks right on this one. I love those Sierra wheels too.
