I have been really liking the look of the 03-07 Sierra front ends. I was wondering what it would take to do a swap onto my 01 XL.

Does anyone know what it might involve? Looks like it could be just the grille and bumper, maybe some of the support structure. Any ideas?

You will have to change the frame horns. That will involve cutting and welding. Once you get the new frame horns on, everything will bolt right up. The frame horns is the only obstacle.

The color matched looks nice on that truck.

My thoughts started when I stated looking into a new grille surround, my current one is starting to show it's age. The chrome is worn off right where rain runs off of the hood.

This is how it looks now... I do like the chrome on the front end as it is. So now I am pondering if I am going to buy a new grille should I make the switch. I am not sure if I want to get into the whole conversion at this point. I did find some pictures of the Sierra grille with the Yukon bumper, it looks good in pictures but I'm not sure how the gap between the two would look in person.

Hmmm...

Did you just bolt up the new grille? Was there anything else needed?

I was looking on Lmc Truck and it looks like there are different part numbers for the headlight supports, are they needed for the swap?
