Take your plastic one off, drive to a fab shop and have one made.

Laser cut, and coated. then post up pics, for us all to drool over..

+1!

And yes, they're all plastic from the factory. Skidplate is kind of an exaggeration, it's more of an 'underbody brush guard'.

it seems like the best way to have good skid plates for our trucks is to make them, im surprised at how there are no aftermarket ones, the only ones i know of are the skyjacker ones and i think pro comp but they are goofy looking and only work on something lifted

what about skids for the bottom? id like to find one or come up with soemthing for the front diff

If you didn't get the stock ones you can get them for the front diff, the transfer case, and (at least for 2 doors) the fuel tank.

Front diff: Item #3 in the middle

Transfer case: Item #6

Fuel tank: Fuel tank skid 2-door

I have seen the first two on ebay, but not a fuel tank skid yet. If you have the Z71 package you should have these already.

they're are a few metal ones for our rigs but they are around $200+.

Keep searching (i'm at work and can't search), you'll find them....

I'm going to see if a metal shop can make mine, $200+ is ridiculous for a piece of metal.
